Creative Courseware is always looking for part-time and full-time contract instructional designers to join our team. Instructional Designers are needed for projects building traditional classroom instructor-led training deliverables, eLearning deliverables or both. Rates are generally $40/hr. - $70/hr. and dependent upon level of experience and project complexity.

Essential Functions
-
Consult with clients to define goals and outcomes; recommend effective and innovative learning solutions
-
Conduct needs analysis and content research
-
Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and content
-
Document designs via design documents and/or storyboards
-
Identify and write performance objectives (terminal and enabling)
-
Design evaluation strategies aligned with course objectives (levels 1 -3)
-
Create representative samples, content outlines and other design documentation as needed
-
Manage project tasks through each phase of instructional design process
-
Lead working meetings and produce meeting documentation
-
Communicate project status via reporting tools (minimum weekly)

Identify project issues, risks and dependencies and communicate with leadership and stakeholders

Design and develop engaging, interactive and instructionally sound materials using creative and innovative approaches

Develop training materials including instructor guides, presentations, student guides, performance support, eLearning, virtual classroom, exams, etc.
Additional Responsibilities & Attributes

Able to synthesize and develop highly-technical content

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong project management skills; able to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

Comfortable addressing and resolving issues that lack clarity, structure, or certainty
Qualifications
-
5+ years (preferred) of professional instructional design experience
-
Proficient in Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) for eLearning projects
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for classroom instructor-led projects
-
Contracting experience preferred
-
Portfolio examples within the past 3 years are preferred Storyline examples are preferred to be considered for eLearning projects. Instructor guide, student guide and presentation examples are preferred to be considered for classroom projects.
